I took my Prijon Athlete down to the beach last week. No suprise, but it reinforced my belief that it's not an idea surf kayak! The break at PC goes to soup right away most of the time, so unless I was really into pearling, there wasn't much point in going out. The last day there was a section of the break that stayed glassy for a long time, so I got a few good rides. And - there was no contention. No boards or other boats were anywhere near me.
I did have a nice paddle on Sand Lake.
It was actually really crappy weather, so I might just as well been in a boat. In case you're interested in paddling there, time it for high tide! It was shallow enough in some places anyway. It's hard to imagine how nasty it would be to boat when the tide is out...
